CALF ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM
ERGONOMICS
CALF ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM
The Calf Adjustment System, a feature of the TCX Comp Evo 2 boot, is specially designed to adapt to different calf sizes and to easily accommodate all types of knee guards and protectors. Using a movable polyurethane shin plate based on screws that move within hidden holes, the Calf Adjustment System ensures a totally customizable fit: based on the desired range of motion, there are two different settings to choose from. Ensuring that the lower leg is perfectly enclosed is one of the most important elements when wearing an off-road boot; it is essential that it is not too tight or too loose, depending on the type of protector or knee guard worn.
BOOT LEG STRUCTURE
MAIN MATERIALS
BOOT LEG STRUCTURE
The leg structure of the Comp Evo 2 boot features a polyurethane protective outer panel and a soft inner upper, developed to fully envelop the leg and provide excellent comfort levels. The upper, made of soft microfiber, wraps around the calf perfectly, and the double Velcro fastening system allows the fit to be customized with pinpoint accuracy to perfectly adapt every rider's boot. The upper elastic collar prevents gravel, dust, and mud from entering the boot, maintaining optimal comfort even in the most challenging conditions.
D.F.C. DOUBLE FLEX CONTROL RACING
PERFORMANCE SHOCK
D.F.C. DOUBLE FLEX CONTROL RACING
The Double Flex Control [D.F.C.] system is a unique ankle structure that offers the perfect balance between freedom of movement and joint support, preventing unwanted bending and twisting. The D.F.C. features a PU structure attached to the boot with two hidden side screws on the heel buttress, at the level of the ankle. The system features two tabs at the back of the boot that slide inside special safety lock pockets that permit up to 13 degrees of flexibility to the rear to prevent hyperextension of the ankle joint and a similar 14 degrees of flexibility at the front to limit potential hyperflexion. The system’s PU frame is thin and contoured around the boot to provide a flat inner surface, which allows good grip on the bike and prevents it getting caught up while riding. The D.F.C. system is designed to offer a higher level of protection even in the event of a collision; the heel buttress was developed to absorb the energy from the impact and is equipped with rear and side sliders to aid natural sliding in the event of a fall.
