Invisible, lightweight and ergonomic, Dainese D-air® Ski 2 is the most advanced electronic airbag system designed to protect professional skiers as well as Downhill and Super-G athletes. Imperceptible until activated, only when needed. Dainese D-air® Ski 2 offers the highest level of freedom and protection, for maximum performance on every descent and in the most extreme racing conditions.
Dainese D-air® Ski 2 is the intelligent protection system used by Downhill and Super-G World Cup athletes. Owing to the synergetic interaction of accelerometers, gyroscopes and GPS – and to its sophisticated algorithm, developed over 20 years of experience in the most extreme environments – the electronic airbag system recognizes the dynamics of a fall and activates the Shield, an airbag with patented microfilament technology that ensures even protection over the athletes’ entire chest area. Dainese D-air® Ski 2 airbag systems can activate up to three times before airbag replacement. The innovative D-air® FRS (Fast Replacement System) also allows wearers to replace the gas generator on their own after activation, which allows to quickly get back on the slope.
Comfort and maximum protection over the back area are ensured by the back protector, which is comfortable and lightweight when worn, owing to its unique composition.
The lightweight construction of D-air® Ski 2 offers maximum freedom of movement due to its ergonomic fit: The joint of the back protector’s lower plates allows it to adapt to the athlete's body, so that it follows skiers' movements without hindrance and without creating any annoying bulk.

How to take measurements?
Chest
Chest circumference
The measurement of the chest in its maximum extension during normal breathing, measured with the person standing, passing the measuring tape horizontally around the torso over the scapula bones (the shoulder blades) and just under the armpits.
Waist
Waist circumference
The circumference measured horizontally around the waist, just above the highest point of each of the iliac crest bones, during normal breathing, on the person standing, with a relaxed abdomen.
Height
The distance measured vertically between the top of the head and the soles of the person's feet (without shoes) in an upright position, standing with feet together.
