Smart Jacket LS is a ventilated motorcycle jacket that combines the versatility of a light, ventilated garment with the intelligence and ultimate protection of the Dainese D-air® airbag system.
Smart Jacket LS does not require any connection to the motorcycle. It can be used as a normal ventilated jacket, without the need for other coordinating garments, and does not require a subscription. Made of certified, abrasion-resistant, ventilated fabric, it is also suitable for use on the hottest days, ensuring excellent breathability.
The Dainese D-air® system used in MotoGP™ and developed over 25 years of research monitors what is happening around the rider 1,000 times per second with its sensors. With no need for cables or connections, it autonomously detects any dangerous situation and immediately activates the Shield, an engineered microfilament airbag that offers the highest level of protection to the chest and back. The system activates and protects in the event of sliding, high side, impact with an obstacle or vehicle, or rear-end collision, even when stationary.
With Smart Jacket LS, the Dainese D-air® system offers covered areas a level of protection equivalent to seven level 1 rigid back protectors, without the need for a rigid back protector.
Smart Jacket LS integrates removable Pro-Armor Lev. 2, Type B protectors on the elbows and shoulders. Pro-Armor technology offers limbs the highest level of protection as well as full mobility and exceptional ventilation, owing to its soft structure inspired by natural fractals and its 40% ventilated surface.
Complete with two zippered side pockets, the wearer can practically store essential personal items so that they are always at hand.

MOTO:
The Mugello 3, Misano 3 for men and women, and Smart Air items require the installation of the App D-air® on a mobile device or tablet.
The Smart Jacket items in various versions (vest, leather jacket, men, women), Carve MASTER 2 D-AIR JACKET, STELVIO D-AIR D-DRY XT, RACING 3 D-AIR JACKET, AVRO D-AIR 2PCS SUIT, and TUONO D-AIR JACKET require the installation of software on a computer to activate the garment for the first time and access all its features.
SKI:
The D-AIR SKI 2 item requires the installation of software on a computer to activate the garment for the first time and access all its features.

Smart Jacket
How to size your Smart Jacket:
The Smart Jacket can be worn over or under any jacket. To select your correct sizing, just follow these simple steps:

If you are planning to wear the Smart Jacketunder your riding jacket , just measure your chest size first wearing what you will wear when riding (base layers, t-shirt, fleece..)
Please note: It is recommended that you have 5cm (2inch) of space between your base layers and Smart Jacket both on the front and on the back to leave the correct room in case of an activation. -
If you are planning to wear the Smart Jacket over your riding jacket,just measure your chest while wearing it.
If your jacket has armour, please ensure they are in before measuring. - Once you defined the correct chest sizing, just follow the sizing guide below to select the most appropriate Smart Jacket size.
There is a reasonable degree of expansion in the jacket and it should fit under / over most items based on your standard chest size, the only variance could be over a big bulky touring jacket for example.

How to take measurements?
Height
The distance measured vertically between the top of the head and the soles of the person's feet (without shoes) in an upright position, standing with feet together.
Chest
Chest circumference
The measurement of the chest in its maximum extension during normal breathing, measured with the person standing, passing the measuring tape horizontally around the torso over the scapula bones (the shoulder blades) and just under the armpits.
Neck
Neck circumference
The circumference measured at 2 cm below the Adam's apple in the front, and at the 7th cervical vertebra in the back (i.e. NOT horizontally).
Waist
Waist circumference
The circumference measured horizontally around the waist, just above the highest point of each of the iliac crest bones, during normal breathing, on the person standing, with a relaxed abdomen.
