EXPERIENCE DETAILS

9 days, 2,200 km of escape in an earthly paradise. An extreme land, among active volcanoes, geysers and glaciers, for a journey that allows you to completely immerse yourself in natural beauty, through breathtaking roads and routes, aboard the Ducati Multistrada V4 S and V4 Rally. An incredible experience in an extraordinary country, where you can challenge yourself on a maxienduro and learn to tackle the elements and be at one with nature in all of its splendor.

Two separate Expeditions are scheduled for the following dates:

11–19 July 2025

20–29 July 2025

Please select the dates you are interested in when filling out the form.

It will be a road expedition, with some dirt sections, which can also be covered with basic off-road experience.

The trip will lead us to exploration of the Snæfellsnes peninsula, with its unique rock formations, golden beaches and sheer cliffs, where you can spot seals and seabirds. At the tip of the peninsula is the Snæfellsjökull glacier-volcano, famous for the novel Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne. After a visit to the Glaumbær folklore museum, we continue north along the Skagafjörður fjord, with stops in the fishing village of Siglufjörður and Akureyri. Along the way, we will see the waterfalls Goðafoss and Dettifoss. The latter, with a drop of 45 m and an average flow rate of 500 m³/s, is the most powerful in Europe.

We will then visit the fumaroles of Námaskarð and continue north along the Tjörnes peninsula, with a whale watching boat trip to Húsavík. We will cross the Ódáðahraun desert and the Öxi pass, then head down toward the coast along the Eastfjords, before admiring the Vatnajökull glacier.

Stop at the spectacular Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon where icebergs coming out of the lagoon are entrenched by the tide, creating a unique and fascinating scene.

We then skirt the Arctic Ocean to the black beach of Reynisfjara, famous for its beautiful basalt columns and a location chosen for shooting numerous films and television series such as Star Wars, Star Trek and Captain America.

We will then reach Dyrhólaey Nature Reserve, which is home to many birds, including the Atlantic puffin. Next, we’ll visit the Skógafoss, Seljalandsfoss and Gullfoss waterfalls, before arriving at the Geysir Reserve, where the Strokkur geyser erupts every 3-5 minutes. The tour will conclude with a walk in Thingvellir National Park, home of the Althing, the oldest parliament in the world (930 AD).

A 4x4 support vehicle will transport your luggage so that you can ride unencumbered, especially in the more challenging off-road stretches. A photography and video crew will follow the expedition and create a photo shoot, a copy of which will be given to all participants at the end of the trip. The itinerary also allows time for daily short independent excursions, taking pictures and enjoying Iceland’s splendid Arctic landscape. Time has stood still here in Iceland, a place where nature and riders become one and the desire for motorbike adventures is lived to the fullest.

Climate

Iceland features an alpine climate. Temperatures are lower at higher altitudes, but vary according to slope: the southern slope is warmer, while inland areas and the northern slopes tend to be colder. Iceland’s weather is extremely fickle: within a single day, several precipitations may alternate with periods of clear skies and mild temperatures.

In July daytime temperatures range between 13 and 20 °C. At night, temperatures can be as low as 5/6 °C.

Each participant will have at their disposal a new Ducati Multistrada V4 S MY 2025 or V4 Rally, equipped with Pirelli Scorpion Trail 3 tires, ideal for safely tackling the varied Icelandic terrain.
